Jess Mackie Football Festival – Thank You

There are few occasions we struggle to find words! However this is certainly one of them. Provisionally The Festival raised over £11,500. It’s a phenomenal amount of money, which will all be going to a great cause; the Jess Mackie Memorial Fund. The money raised will be used to deliver musical therapy initiatives at the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital. There were roughly 1,250 attending the day including 450 kids playing football and 150 adults playing in the tournament. It’s a great reflection of the community spirit in Gullane that so many came along to support. It's genuinely impossible to list absolutely everyone who helped and supported us to make the day such a massive success; kids, parent, players, coaches, volunteers, and sponsors. Without the support you all, it simply could not…

Tranent Football Festival 2018 – Well Played 2009’s

Well done to the 2009 squad today who won all their games in the Tranent Football Festival today.  The style of play was really encouraging with plenty of good passages of play and lots of passing and moving; a real team effort. In goal Rory kept a clean sheet in the final game against Longniddry and made some fantastic saves.  Harris, Fred and Ollie S were strong in defence and Jack made some strong runs with the ball.  In the second game against Tranent, Josh scored a cracker with his left and Milo and Ollie H both made some lovely runs down the right wing, getting past defenders and crossing into the box.  On the left Kyle and Craig (we wont mention the Rabonas!) also made a real impact.  And…
