Our 2004’s squad played a very good Longniddry Villa team this morning at Memorial Park Gullane. After a slow start the team played really well with some excellent passing and movement. Today saw the home debuts for Ella and Harvey and they have already added to the team’s quality. Our goalkeeper Ali made a number of very good stops, but one save in particular was World Class, managing to get a strong hand to a shot that was bound for the top corner to knock it over the bar. His goalie coach Jamie would have been impressed. At the other end, Cole – our striker for the day – showed his killer instinct with 3 superbly taken strikes. With excellent defending from Jack J supported by good forward play from Robbie as well the combined usual high level of good play from Archie, Shona and Finn the rest of the season looks promising.
