First festival of the season: 2007 Match Report – Sat 29th Aug

The 2007s started their first festival of the season on Saturday when the first group of players kicked of at 10am. It was a great start back and they showed great energy in every match. We dominated possession and created numerous chances and defended well. Cameron Miller showed he’s got an eye for goal. Josh continues to improve every match and played well in attack and defence. Fraser and Charlie had their usual appetite with some great skill to score and setup their team mates. Harry Stemp broke well from the back with some mazy runs. We won our first 3 matches quite comfortably but I think my coaches highlight was the game against North Berwick which was 2 each. It was a competitive match and played in the right spirit.

In the second session we were joined by Christian, Cameron Fyfe, Rory and Benji. The guys got straight into it and picked up from the others with their usual enthusiasm. We started with another competitive match against North Berwick and won all our fixtures. Coaches highlight for this session was the last match which we were trailing quite heavily and we thought the players had run out of steam with so many previous matches. They managed to recover and pick themselves up without any coaches involvement.

I can’t sign off without mentioning Benji’s screamer in the top corner.

Well done guys!
