The 2007 team, including 2 Stemp brothers, battled both local rivals Haddington and the elements on a stormy afternoon in a friendly home fixture at Memorial park. It was a 7 a side contest of epic proportions.
The passing style of Haddington coupled with an aggressive attacking formation made for a tough contest for the home side, but after a slow start we all gave a good account of ourselves. It was good to see our regulars lead by example and contribute to a great set of games, assisting in goals from Charlie, Fraser and Christian.
These friendly 7 a side fixtures are a great way of preparing our skilled 2007 team for the challenges ahead; it also shows how far we have come in a short space of time.
Don’t forget 2007 training on a Wednesday evening at Memorial park in Gullane. It would be great to see all our 2007’s there as often as possible as we prepare to embark on a 7 a side season: the more players we have the more we can all achieve together. A huge well done to all involved.
